Online Backup

According to Price Waterhouse, most small businesses that experience major data loss are likely to go out of business within a year. All your equipment can be replaced but loss of data will put your business at risk.

Traditional back-ups are done with tape drives and tape media. When designed and maintained properly, this is a high speed, high capacity solution that can be very reliable. Unfortunately human error and bad habits contribute greatly to systemic tape backup failure

If backup logs are ignored, if tape media is not regularly replaced, or if tape backups are not verified the system will fail to provide the very data recovery function it was supposed to provide. Often it’s when a server is lost or a hard drive fails that people find out their tape drive backup system cannot recover their data.

With the advent of large capacity hard drives and high speed internet access, the solution becomes clear. Use commodity hard drives and high speed internet to replicate backups off-site. The Itopia back-up solution adds data encryption to your off-site backups, both in storage and in transit. This service works in parallel with our Infrastructure Server Management service. If we also manage your servers, we can incrementally add secure online backup to ensure simplified infrastructure and data management.

Secure Message Filtering

Stop viruses and junk mail from clogging your server. This service provides spam and malware filtering for all E-mail sent to your organization and optionally sent from our own mail server. It ensures that E-mail sent into your organizaiton is free of spam, viruses and privacy issues. In real-time messages are properly delivered and your people receive their messages without being exposed to damaging content.

Anti-Spam

Anti-Virus Scanning

E-mail Encryption

Our SMTP interfaces are SSL enabled. When similar SSL enabled E-mail servers exchange messages, they negotiate to exchange messages through an encrypted channel. When this happens, messages in transit are kept private, preventing your content from being captured by a middleman

Physical access to our servers in our data centre is carefully controlled through the use of Biometric enabled devices.

Administrative access for our employees is restricted to administrative functions only. Our administrators never see your data, unless specifically instructed to do so with your permission. All inbound and outbound E-mail is scanned for spam and malware before it hits your mailboxes by our secure message filtering service.

Exchange Hosting

This is a Business Class E-mail for your organization. It features best in class collaboration, access, security, reliability, and leveraged costs. Our servers are hosted in an enterprise class data center managed with in house expertise and enterprise level experience.

It starts with your internet domain. We will register and manage your existing domain or help you to setup a new domain. Our domain management services are integrated into the solution.
Your organizations mailboxes are provisioned to your individual needs. Mailboxes are provisioned to be virtually unlimited. Your people will never get the call from someone trying to send them an E-mail, saying that their mailbox is full. Your E-mail Service Plan is customized for you.

Collaboration

Use Microsoft Outlook to its fullest potential. Use your own organization’s address book to share mailbox folders and calendars. Add resource mailboxes with auto-accept/decline features for your meeting rooms. Add common distribution lists where you manage its members or delegate to your administration.

Access

Your Microsoft Outlook is easily configured to our hosted Exchange server, regardless of physical location. If you have Internet access, your Outlook will sync your hosted mailbox.

Security

Physical access to the servers in our Data Centre is carefully controlled through the use of Biometric enabled devices. By default each server is behind a corporate class firewall and secured from access. We can control who access your server as well. All access to the internet is provided as required and can be controlled from inbound (from internet) and outbound (to internet) if desired. All inbound and outbound packets are monitored for Denial of Service(DOS) and port scanning by default.
